I’m Travis Ellison—founder of TravieTravPhotography and a passionate visual storyteller rooted in sports, entertainment, and culture.
Based in Los Angeles, I currently serve as a Digital Media Producer for USC Athletics and freelance as a Gameday Photographer for the Rams and Chargers. I’m also a proud member of IATSE Local 600, where I work as a Unit Stills Photographer in film and TV.

1997
First Photography Award in Elementary School
I still remember the feeling—holding that first photography award in elementary school like it was an Oscar. It wasn’t about the prize itself, but what it unlocked: a belief that storytelling through images mattered. That moment lit a spark in me. From disposable cameras on field trips to capturing game-winning plays on NFL sidelines, it all traces back to that early win and the curiosity it sparked to see the world differently.
2013
First Camera, MyMindOn Sports
2013 was the year everything changed for me. I bought my first DSLR camera and started working with MyMindOn Sports, covering everything from local games to college and pro events. What began as a simple interest quickly became an obsession—I spent every free moment learning how to capture the action, tell better stories, and navigate the fast-moving world of sports media. That first camera wasn’t just a purchase; it was the moment I realized I could turn this passion into a career.
2014
College Days
During his time at VCU, Travis didn’t wait around for opportunity—he created it. He worked as a student camera operator and photographer for VCU Athletics, logging over 500 hours capturing games, events, and behind-the-scenes moments. Whether it was courtside, on the sidelines, or behind the camera at live shows, Travis used every chance he got to sharpen his skills, learning how to move fast, stay focused, and always find the shot.
2016-2017
First NFL Opportunity
My first opportunity in the NFL world started behind the scenes—working in PR, digital media, and game day photography with the Seattle Seahawks. That year laid the foundation for everything that followed.
2017-2021
Minnesota “Minneapolis Miracle”
From intern to Photography Coordinator, my time with the Vikings was a masterclass in storytelling at scale. I was fortunate to be on the sidelines to capture the iconic Minneapolis Miracle—a moment I’ll never forget.
2021
Freelance Leap & Black Sports Business Symposium
In 2021, I bet on myself and launched Travis Ellison Productions. Since then, I’ve worked with brands like Bel-Air, the Rams, and the Chargers—proof that purpose and preparation meet when you take the leap. As creative lead for the Black Sports Business Symposium, I’ve helped shape the brand’s visual identity and content strategy. This platform is about more than sports—it’s about opening doors for the next generation of Black professionals.
2024–Present
USC Athletics & Master’s at USC Annenberg
Currently, I’m building alongside one of the most iconic athletic programs while pursuing my Master’s at USC Annenberg. It’s a season of growth, learning, and leveling up creatively and professionally.
